About

Meet your Consultant/Coach

Hello, I'm so glad you're here!

My name is Giovanna.

I’m a writer, coach, and consultant based in New York City.

I founded Good Energuia with one clear mission: to help people, and the organizations they power, thrive.

I specialize in culturally grounded coaching and people-first consultancy, with a focus on helping BIWOC (Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color) navigate work, life, and leadership with clarity, confidence, and abundance.

My Work

I help individuals move through the complexities of work and leadership by equipping them with the tools, strategy, and confidence to grow on their own terms.

I support organizations in transforming culture challenges into people-first, high-performing systems, where equity and engagement are not just buzzwords, but embedded into behavior, strategy, and outcomes.

My Background

Before launching Good Energuia, I built a successful career in People & Organizational Development across industries like healthcare, finance, and tech. I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and bring over a decade of experience leading initiatives in change management, performance improvement, and strategy.

With a foundation in both systems thinking and human-centered coaching, I bridge individual growth with organizational transformation.

My Why

As a Latina woman, part of the most underpaid demographic in the U.S. workforce, I’ve experienced firsthand the dissonance of being praised for high performance while being paid less than peers with fewer qualifications.

I’ll never forget being told, “You’re one of the highest-paid Latinas here,” as if that erased the fact that I was still earning significantly less than a white male colleague in the same role. That moment confirmed something I’d long suspected: you can’t always work your way into equity. Sometimes, you have to advocate your way into it.

That’s when I learned how to negotiate for fair pay, push for recognition, and assert my worth, often when no one else would. These lessons now fuel my mission: to empower women of color to ask for more and to help build workplaces where they no longer have to fight to be valued.
